New Laptop

Kay, so I just sold my old 17 inch Pavillion pv9000 for about 600 dollars, its about more than 2 years old... it had 2 GB ddr2 ram...and what not anyways. I sold it because I'll be going to UNI next year, and I have to do a lot of traveling and I dont want to be carying that monster on my back. XD

My March Break is coming up so I'm off to computer shopping... I need help though! I've been searching everywhere to find the perfect laptop and It's so hard to know which one to get, and I know you guys have awesome opinions. SO! This is what I need...and maybe then you guys can help me:

Anything above $1000 CANADIAN Dollars... and below $1400 CANADIAN dollars.
Nothing bigger than 15 inch, and nothing smaller than a 13 inch. It can be any name brand...I just need to know the size and specs. I am looking for something that is powerful, fun, entertainment, excellent for school as well, and preferably thin... and compatible with just about anything. You CAN recommend Apple, but if you do, please explain why.

So please, help me out! I'm going crazy, I need that "just perfect" laptop. And I need it soon, cause now I'm without a computer, and forced to use my moms crappy pc. Thanks a bunch guys! Really appreciate it.

(Customized computers are acceptable as long as they are in the price range)
Thanks again!

Anyone a swf/flash player expert ?

I have this flash player located at:

http://celtictalk.org/15285/blah3.swf

There is some sort of code meaning it can only be played on 1-2 certain sites. It extracts video from ustream and shows it in the custom flash player, does anyone have adobe flash and know how to use it to remove these codes or add celtictalk onto it ?

Here is one of the sites it works on:

http://iraqgoals.net/blah3.swf?cld=&ccld=&bid=3288549&ccid=&cid=

ps this is the code that should work but it doesn't, the number is the ustream channel number.

http://celtictalk.org/15285/blah3.swf?cld=&ccld=&bid=3288549&ccid=&cid=

It is displayed on a normal html page using:
