As staff we will evaluate any new file sharing site that comes up and decide if it is worth meeting our standards. This is an attempt to get content to you in the best means available. No one wants to download a 1GB file split in to ten 100MB files at only 50kB/s. As such, we now have a zero tolerance policy against bot posting. It has become a severe issue especially in the Porn forum. So if you come across TW and think it will be a great place to try and earn massive amounts of RS points by bot posting, you will find your IP and account quickly banned.


Onto more important matters, like cleaning the site up. I will be installing the nice little black theme I installed last month (so much better than the monstrosity that is being used now). I will leave the default banner so all you little kiddies won't nit pick about how it looks and we'll leave it up to the members to create a new banner.

One by one each forum will be wiped if needed. We won't wipe all forums at once because that will simply kill the site. So starting Monday night at midnight, all topics in the Porn forums will be deleted (mainly because it just has too many posts from bots). If you have any topics in there that you have posted and would like to re-post, you need to copy the posts tonight or tomorrow night by midnight.

We will be doing this to all forums with at least one forum per week as not to overload our staff with work, and some forums may be dropped all together.

With this in mind, since the Porn forums will be our first project, it's time for us to add a staff member or two specifically for the porn forum. Our current staff are pretty much our community police who do side work policing the download sections. So if you are interested being a moderator in the porn forums, just post a reply.

Conditions are as follows:

• Must have been a member for at least 3 months
• Must have made at least 100 posts
• Must have started at least 20 topics
• Must be active
• Must use MSN
• Not have recieved any warnings in 60 days (Have you been a good boy Looney?)

Primary Duties Expected:

• Approve all new topics as the porn forum will be Mod Queue here on in
• Make sure the links in topics are working and are not phishing links

Close to 100 downloads alone in the giant post and only 1 missing link. It is not our staffs responsibility to manually check all links in a topic that large. And we know that you are not going to do it either. The majority of downloads on a warez site are 10 links or less per topic. Try to limit it to that so it will make your work much easier when you need to correct a download link. This is why we have the automated system set up to PM you when your topic gets moved. You can easily find and replace the link.

I hope that downtime was very little, I apologize I forgot which DNS t-warez was using, had the domain panel open but I've been very busy with our new lady server tina here @ xenserv....

Regardless it should of switched very fast ^_^, if so let me know or if not & all issues w/the move have been resolved before I remembered to switch the DNS, sooo if you find a error LMK - though I highly doubt you will find another issue.

The server still needs to be tuned, servers need to have uptime and a steady load before you can really tune it (Well I can do anything but it's easiest this way) we graph all our systems, I'll post ya guys some later. This system was setup last night, installed today and few hours later is now serving busy websites.

I also wanted to take this time to mention that uploadpla.net's been growing quite largely (For "Legal" File uploads & Your every day images hosting), we are now pushing tons of traffic and I've seen some users do over 15gByte/day - we plan to try and get some uploadpla.net updates involved, please use us for more hotlinked images ^_^

I'm thinking for the next role of action is the sections re-thought, I think we need to aim moar for webscripts again. Forum wise the goal is to remove forums that are pretty much dead or aren't used nearly at all. Aside from that and a few other ideas to be worked on, we would like to hear what changes or improvements you guys think should be implemented. For instance, I think it would be a good idea for TW to switch over to "Scene" only releases and limit ourselves to media based content. Like TV, Movies, Music, and Games. Providing access to only "Scene" release downloads is a quick and strong way to draw in more members not to mention "Scene" releases are safe.

Now drawing in more members is good but what do we need to do to keep those members? Let's be honest, with private bit torrent trackers becoming so much more abundant and easier to gain access to, Forum based file sharing is slowly becoming a thing of the past. So holding on to these new members and current ones alike is of utmost importance for communities like ours to stay alive and succeed.

One of the things I'm working on is a skin I installed on the site earlier today. It's a very sleek professional looking skin. It's clean and sharp with a very Web 2.0 feel. Statistically, sites that follow a Web 2.0 look are doing better right now because people don't want to deal with graphically cluttered pages, no matter how pretty they look. However, since I do not have photo shop and couldn't really use it if my life depended on it, I need someone to volunteer with making a banner for this new theme.

Another thing that one of you graphics guru's would be able to help with is more challenging than you would think. TW needs a symbol. What I mean by "symbol" is an image that when looked at, anyone who knows of TW will recognize it. For instance, if I were to show you a picture of a brown pirate ship, every one of you would instantly know what web tracker it belongs to.
